NP or PA - General & Vascular Surgery Ball Memorial Hospital

IU Health Ball Physicians has an opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established General and Vascular Surgery team at IU Health Medical Group Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.

• Full Time, Days
  • No Call, No Weekends
  • 40 hours/week
  • Depending on experience-we are open to possibly 4-10's or 5-8's.
• 100% inpatient

• Work directly with our on-call surgeon
• Examine and disposition patients (admissions, discharges)
• Surgical consults, surgical needs, charting, placing orders, booking surgeries, communicating with day shift and on call night shift providers, respond to traumas,assist in surgery and minor procedures
• Must be a critical thinker, excellent in communication and able to work independently

• I&D
• Punch Biopsies
• Simple wound closures
• Assist in OR
• Chest tube and drain removal

• Master's Degree required.
• Must be ACNP, FNP or PA Board Certified
• Must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Indiana
• Must have inpatient APP experience, OR experience preferred.
• New Grad nurse practitioners considered with a minimum of 5 years of a strong nursing background in acute/trauma/critical care/emergency nursing.
• Ideal candidate will be an experienced APP in surgery, or inpatient medicine, or ER, OR experience
