Licensed Practical Nurse - Part-Time

Job Description

At Bio Life, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., we are looking for a Plasma Center Nurse (Medical Support Specialist) to screen and advise donors, manage donor eligibility, handle adverse events, review laboratory results, and support plasma center operations.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological assays.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including coordination with the Center Physician.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance and for any unacceptable findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation by occupational health is required.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations of pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with graduate equivalency in a recognized nursing program meeting state requirements.
• Current nursing license or certification (RN, NP, or PA) in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State compliance with basic IV therapy requirements.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Hourly wage range: $24.32–$33.44 (subject to location, qualifications, experience, and applicable wage laws).
