Ball Memorial’s adult surgical unit is a 25‑bed unit specializing in care of patients recovering from a variety of surgeries (general, urological, bariatric) and medical overflow. The unit employs a team nursing model and focuses on comprehensive, patient‑ and family‑centered care.

• Care of the surgical patient post‑operative to discharge.
• Care of CVAD (central venous access device) and PICC lines.
• Wound vac and wound care.
• Foley insertion and care of CBI (continuous bladder irrigation).
• Nasogastric tube insertion and maintenance.

• Associate of Nursing (ASN) required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program required.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA required.
• Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
