NP or PA - Addiction Medicine

Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) at Muncie Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide advanced nursing care for opioid use disorder. In this role you will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and prescribe medications as permitted by state regulations while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Part‑time: 24 hours per week

• 2–3 weekdays: 6 am to 12:30 pm
• Saturday mornings: 6 am–11 am (1–2 Saturdays per month – rotation)

The Advanced Practice Provider delivers high‑quality medical services to patients within the scope of licensure. Responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, managing medical aspects of care across all clinic service levels, providing education, referrals, and follow‑up care, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and ensure continuity of care. The APP/NP/PA may prescribe medication as permitted by state regulations.

• Make a comprehensive physical assessment of patients consistent with training and education.
• Perform physical examinations on patients admitted for medication maintenance.
• Ensure physician medication orders are being followed; refer patients to appropriate physicians and consult with the supervising physician.
• Evaluate patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results, and patient feedback.
• Provide patient and staff education on medication maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF Standards, and clinic policy and procedure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings (e.g., outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities) is preferred.
• Familiarity with Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT), including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
• Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards).
• No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment.

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Licensed to practice in the state of Indiana.
