The Parts Counter Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the parts department by providing exceptional customer service and accurate parts identification. The associate will manage inventory, process orders, and maintain organized records to support seamless parts availability.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory or point-of-sale systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and handling parts.
- Previous experience in automotive, industrial, or equipment parts sales or inventory management.
- Familiarity with parts catalogs and electronic ordering systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical or technical terminology related to parts and equipment.
- Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
- Experience working with diverse customer populations in a retail or service environment.
- Greet and assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct parts for their needs.
- Process parts orders accurately using inventory management systems and point-of-sale software.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date inventory records, including receiving and stocking parts.
- Communicate effectively with service technicians and suppliers to verify part specifications and availability.
- Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
- Assist in managing returns, warranties, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Support the parts department in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
