Excavation Lead Operator

We are seeking a skilled, reliable workers to join our growing company. In this position, you will be responsible for participating in a variety of excavation projects. You will use a wide range of tools and equipment, and will have to work outdoors in a mixture of weather conditions.

• Operate equipment such as excavation and descaling
• Prepare at the work site each day by preparing materials, tools, and equipment
• Complete previous projects or receive new project instructions from manager
• Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks
• Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
• Ensure regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Prepare new sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting space as needed
• Provide assistance to contractors (i.e. craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed
• Train on experienced tasks and learn new tasks from coworkers
• Clean and clear debris
• Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly

• Commission Rate:
  18%–20%, based on performance

Typical commissions range from approximately $315–$350+ per dig, depending on performance

Annual safety bonus based on achievement of specific safety and performance KPIs

Commission and bonus earnings are performance-based and not guaranteed.

• CDL preferred (not required)— CDL Drivers:
  No overnights or out of town travel
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 80 pounds
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
