Jones Brothers Trucking is seeking a Flatbed Driver Trainer
, but we want to be clear from the start 👇

This is not a walk-in trainer position.
👉 All trainers must first work as a Jones Brothers driver.

If you do not already drive for Jones Brothers Trucking, you will be required to hire on as a company driver first 🚚. This allows us to see how you operate, how you communicate, and how you carry yourself before stepping into a training role.

Before training others, you must show that you:

• Operate safely and consistently 🦺

• Follow company procedures without resistance 📋

• Communicate professionally with drivers, dispatch, and leadership 📞

• Teach the Jones Brothers way
  , not “how it was done somewhere else” 🚫

Once approved into a trainer role, responsibilities include:

• Training entry-level and transitioning drivers from the ground up 🏗️

• Classroom, yard, and behind-the-wheel instruction 🚦

• Teaching:

  • Pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections 🔍

  • Backing, turning, shifting, coupling/uncoupling 🔄

  • Flatbed securement, tarping, chains, binders, and load checks 🪝🧵

• Coaching drivers on decision-making, trip planning, and professionalism 🧭

• Evaluating driver performance and providing clear, honest feedback 🗣️

• Maintaining training documentation and compliance records 🗂️

• Reinforcing safety habits and company expectations daily ⚠️

• Valid Class A CDL 🚛

• 5+ years of OTR flatbed experience

• Clean driving record 🧾

• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations 📘

• Prior training or mentoring experience preferred

• Ability to coach without ego, shortcuts, or excuses 🧱

• Willingness to learn, adapt, and align with Jones Brothers systems 🔧
