As a Logistics Associate here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the end-to-end logistics operations. You will be responsible for coordinating transportation, warehousing, and inventory management to ensure efficient supply chain operations and give Honeywell a competitive edge in the market. With your expertise in logistics management and strong analytical skills, you will develop strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Your ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and ensure compliance with regulations will contribute to the success of our logistics operations.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, optimizing transportation routes, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and third‑party logistics providers. Your efforts will directly contribute to cost savings, enhanced customer satisfaction, and overall supply chain performance.
Responsibilities- Prepare various shipping documents such as bills of lading, air freight bills, and export papers, extracting required information from sales orders.
- Advise the Sales team of shipments on‑hold and resolve questionable matters with Finance, Sales, and Shipping teams.
- Contact transportation companies to schedule freight pick‑up.
- Date, pull and match original orders to shop copies for billing by Finance team.
- Calculate shipping costs, insurance, and fuel surcharges for all UPS shipments.
- Enter UPS orders in the system and apply freight to prepaid orders.
- Prepare Canadian paperwork for UPS and truck shipments.
- Perform clerical duties in support of the Production Office such as work order time sheets into computer system and other duties as assigned.
- Freight bill approvals.
- Hazmat and Dangerous Goods Shipment issues.
- Assist in developing logistics plans and procedures.
- Ensure customer and corporate requirements are met.
- High school diploma or Equivalent
- Previous administrative experience required
- Previous experience in manufacturing, shipping, or logistics is preferred.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel including the ability to create basic tables and graphs.
- Experience using an enterprise business system such as SAP.
- Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills who exhibits professional verbal and written communication when interfacing with vendors and co‑workers.
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
