Tax Manager

Job Description Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager | Hybrid | $130,000 to $180,000 + Bonus/Benefits A growing public accounting firm is looking to add a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to its team. This is an opportunity to work closely with clients, take ownership of complex tax engagements, and play a meaningful role in developing both client relationships and the next generation of tax professionals.

Responsibilities  Manage and review federal, state, and local tax compliance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.  Oversee the preparation and review of partnership, S corporation, individual, and corporate tax returns.  Provide tax planning, research, and consulting services to help clients identify opportunities and navigate complex tax matters.  Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, communicating recommendations and addressing questions throughout the year.  

Review tax provisions, estimates, extensions, and other technical deliverables as applicable.  Identify potential risks, research tax issues, and stay current on changes in tax law.  Supervise, train, and mentor staff and senior tax professionals.  Assist with business development, client proposals, and expanding existing client relationships.  Collaborate with partners and other service lines on complex client needs and special projects. Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.  

CPA license.  5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience for a Manager-level role, with additional experience preferred for a Senior Manager position.  Strong experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for a variety of entity types.  Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations, tax research, and compliance requirements.  Experience managing multiple engagements, meeting deadlines, and communicating directly with clients.  

Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.  Experience supervising or mentoring tax professionals.  Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with partners and team members.
