As the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming experience while coordinating admissions and supporting our mission of providing exceptional skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

What You’ll Do

As an Admissions Assistant, you will help ensure every new resident experiences a smooth, organized, and welcoming admission process.

  • Welcome prospective residents, families, hospitals, and referral partners with professionalism and compassion.
  • Coordinate and schedule admissions, including pre‑admission assessments and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate resident records in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Assist with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and financial eligibility processes.
  • Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families.
  • Collaborate with nursing, social services, therapy, and administrative departments to ensure seamless admissions.
  • Prepare admission packets and required documentation.
  • Communicate with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral sources to coordinate timely admissions.
  • Support marketing, census development, and community outreach initiatives as needed.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous admissions, healthcare, or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance verification processes
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR);
    Point Click Care  (PCC) experience is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy healthcare environment
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
