Preschool Instructional Aide

Part Time, Beginning January 20, 2026

Salary: $18 per hour - 5 Hours per day, 7am to 12 Noon, M-F

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood or related field
  • At least 3 years of preschool experience
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with children and parents in a positive and respectful manner
  • Energetic personality and team player
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • First Aid/CPR certified preferred or willing to obtain certification

Performance Responsibilities
  • Maintaining safety and ensuring the welfare of all enrolled children, supervising children during all activities both indoors and outdoors
  • Assisting the teacher with day to day operations of the classroom including lesson planning, preparing materials, leading centers or mini-lessons, and supporting children during activities.
  • Performing housekeeping duties as assigned, including daily preparation and clean-up of snack/lunch and learning centers.
  • Attending all staff meetings and other work-related functions, including special events, as required.
  • Interacting with parents when necessary or referring appropriate questions and concerns to program teachers or directors.
  • Participating in planning program curriculum.
  • Continuing to engage in professional development.
  • Promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel safe, secure, and supported
  • Assisting with attendance records, student progress notes, and other administrative tasks.
  • Encourages students’ spiritual growth both inside of and outside of the classroom
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
