ces San Diego (WVSD) is looking for enthusiastic, energetic Spanish teachers to join our after-school programs at schools throughout San Diego.

What the
position looks like:

chool hours — schedules vary by school
• Approxi
mately 2–8 hours per week, depending on your availability
• Classes
are approximately 1 hour
• You can
teach just a few classes a week or take on more as your schedule allows

At WVSD,
our students learn Spanish through conversation, games, movement, music, role-play, and hands-on activities. We want teachers who aren’t afraid to be animated, creative, and a little silly when it helps children learn. ?

Qualifications
- Ability to provide effective Spanish Teaching and Tutoring that supports learners at varying levels.
- Strong Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development skills aligned with program standards and learner needs.
- Demonstrated Teaching experience using engaging, student-centered methods in classroom or small-group settings.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish; ability to use English clearly for explanations and communication.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, Linguistics, or a related field preferred; teaching credential or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring Spanish in school, community, or enrichment programs is highly beneficial.
