Job Summary

Mac Lean-Fogg is hiring a Machine Operator - 2nd Shift at our Mundelein, Illinois manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate assigned mechanical equipment, verify product quality using precision measuring tools, and make basic equipment adjustments to support safe, efficient production.

  • Location: Mundelein, IL

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

  • Pay: $20.09/hour

  • Other Compensation: $2.50/hour shift differential

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

  • Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required.

What You'll Do as a Machine Operator
  • Operate assigned mechanical equipment efficiently and safely.

  • Inspect produced items to verify they meet quality requirements and product specifications.

  • Use basic precision measuring instruments to confirm product dimensions and specifications.

  • Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments.

  • Read and interpret blueprints when applicable, along with work instructions and procedures.

  • Complete first-piece inspections as needed and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • One year of experience.

  • Ability to operate machinery safely and effectively.

  • Ability to use precision measurement instruments.

  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints when applicable.

  • Basic mathematical skills.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions and complete required documentation accurately.

Work Environment &

Physical Requirements

This is an on-site manufacturing position involving work with mechanical production equipment.

  • Frequent bending and stooping are required.

  • The position requires pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Manual dexterity is required to handle small objects.
