Position Details
Position: Full-Time School Social Worker
Grade Levels: K–12 (Caseload to Be Determined)
Setting: Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM
Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch

This position supports students with low-incidence disabilities, with a primary focus on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you ll help students develop the social, emotional, and behavioral skills needed to succeed both in and outside of the classroom.
Caseload assignments will be determined collaboratively, and the ideal candidate is flexible and comfortable working with students across the K–12 age range.
ResponsibilitiesProvide individual and group social work services to students with autism and other low-incidence disabilities
Conduct social developmental assessments and contribute to special education evaluations
Participate in IEP meetings and develop social-emotional goals and interventions
Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, behavior specialists, and families
Support students with emotional regulation, social skills, behavioral challenges, and crisis intervention when needed
Connect families with school and community resources
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state and district requirements
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement required
Previous school-based experience preferred
Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other low-incidence disabilities is preferred
Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills
Passion for supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
Competitive salary ranging from $60,000–$72,000
