Position Overview
The PCB Assembler I is an essential member of our production team, helping bring rail communication equipment to life through hands‑on assembly work.
In this role, you’ll build and assemble component parts using detailed prints and Bills of Materials (BOM), contributing directly to the quality and performance of our products.
What Your Day May Look Like- Possess a strong awareness of ESD best practices and ability to work in controlled environments.
- Assemble and populate printed circuit boards (PCBs) with components such as resistors, capacitors, relays, and integrated circuits.
- Perform precision work including twisting, bending, and trimming component leads using hand tools.
- Solder wire leads and connections using a soldering iron to ensure reliable electrical connections between components.
- Demonstrate proficiency in through‑hole soldering, with surface‑mount (SMT) experience required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) to accurately assemble products.
- Safely operate hand tools and light power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hand drills).
- Perform wire preparation tasks including crimping, stripping, and soldering.
- Ensure product quality by partnering with Quality and following safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S practices.
- Identify risks and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate effectively, support team needs, and participate in training and cross‑functional activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years previous electro‑mechanical assembly experience.
- Basic soldering experience.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Minimum of one‑year electronic manufacturing experience preferred.
- Electronic component‑level soldering skills for PCB assembly.
- Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑J‑STD‑001, or IPC‑A‑620.

Salary: $16.40/hr – $21.30/hr depending on budget and qualifications.
