Description
First Merchants Bank is seeking a Credit Administrative Specialist to join our team! This position will facilitate communication between Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, and Commercial Administrators to ensure accurate, high-quality loan submissions and compliance with bank policies. This role supports Credit Analysts by providing complete and reliable information, manages Loan and SAM Committee logistics, and assists with portfolio monitoring, appraisal coordination, and credit administrative tasks as needed.
Responsibilities- Coordinate communication and workflow between Relationship Manager, Credit Analyst and Commercial Administrator.
- Ensure all commercial loan requests submitted meet the standard requirements for entity verification and financial support as defined in the bank’s policies/processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure service request is complete/accurate prior to forwarding to a Credit Analyst.
- Serve as Regional/Line of Business Loan Committee Secretary.
- Coordinate, monitor, and manage Loan Committee agendas and meeting packets.
- Coordinate and manage action items and/or decisions from Loan Committee meetings.
- Coordinate and manage approvals.
- Serve as Regional/Line of Business SAM Committee Secretary.
- Coordinate, monitor, and manage SAM Committee agendas and meeting packets.
- Coordinate and manage action items and/or decisions from SAM Committee meetings.
- Coordinate maintenance for all special assets loans.
- Generate SAM Committee Minutes with minimal oversight or review.
- Complete monitoring tasks as needed which may include, but not limited to ACR, ACH Reviews, brokerage statement tests, SAM data reports, and other data integrity reports.
- Order and obtain Real Estate Appraisals and Evaluations.
- Ensure bids for appraisals are completed and appraisers engaged within service level standards.
- Serve as a liaison between Commercial Sales and external appraisal vendors to order, maintain, resolve issues, and ensure accuracy and quality of reports.
- Support Credit Administrative Specialists as needed during scheduled and unscheduled absences.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- One (1) year of banking experience.
