** This Opportunity:
*** Support members of our Civil Engineering team
* Provide analysis and design of site improvements, roadways, trails, water distribution systems, sanitary and storm sewer collection systems, and drainage systems
* Prepare design construction plans and specifications, site layout, grading and drainage plans, plan and profiles, alignments, and details
* Serve as a Field Engineer during the construction of various projects
* Conducting site visits and construction progress meetings to provide the contractor guidance on the project design intent and assure construction quality
* Attending team meetings and/or client consultation meetings to understand client needs and incorporate them into design
* Managing own work activities, project team responsibilities, and communicate status of workload
* Learning new design techniques and construction capabilities to bring clients the most innovative and creative solutions
* Communicating on a consistent basis with the team and collaborating
* Being dedicated to working hard and achieving excellence in a team environment

** Essential

Qualifications:

*** Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections
* Must be local to Munster, Indiana
* Previous experience through on the job experience or coursework in AutoCAD Civil 3D
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Previous experience in use of AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, or other applicable civil design software
* Previous experience in civil engineering including municipal hydraulics, municipal road design, municipal utility design, road construction and municipal inspection
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
