LPN - CVI

Part‑time (Non‑Benefit Eligible), Evenings, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm every other weekend and every other holiday.

The Staff LPN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and providing a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. The LPN practices in accordance with current standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, and Powers Health policies and procedures.

• Documents a physical assessment each shift including subjective/objective data.
• Communicates with patients, families and/or significant others to individualize each patient’s plan of care.
• Verifies that physician’s orders are transcribed properly and carried out promptly.
• Reports significant changes in patient’s condition to unit manager/charge nurse/shift supervisor and/or physician.
• Continuously evaluates patient’s responses to the plan of care, teaching plans and rehabilitation activities throughout their stay and upon discharge.

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Currently licensed as an LPN by the Indiana State Board of Health.
• Maintains current BLS certification and any required specialty certifications.
