LPN Position
Evenings, 3:00pm- 11:30pm
- Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing
The Staff LPN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. The LPN practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Documents a physical assessment each shift including subjective/objective data.
- Communicates with patients, families and/or significant others in an effort to individualize patient's plan of care to them.
- Verifies that physician's orders are transcribed properly and carried out promptly.
- Reports significant changes in patient's condition to unit manager/charge nurse/shift supervisor and/or physician.
- Continuously evaluates patient's responses to plan of care, teaching plans and rehabilitation activities throughout their stay and upon discharge.
Education/Experience
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Currently licensed as a LPN by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
- Obtains and maintains current certification in BLS, and other required certificates in specialty areas.
