Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data across a diverse portfolio of clients. It is essential that this candidate brings strong analytical and organizational skills to provide high-level support to our accounting team and maintain our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
Client Advisory: Work closely with multiple clients to understand and ensure the accuracy of all financial reporting activity.
Full-Cycle Accounting: Provide general accounting, bookkeeping, and month-end closing services for a variety of industries.
Systems Management: Utilize accounting software (
Quick Books Online, Sage, etc. ), payroll interfaces (
ADP, QBO Payroll ), and advanced Excel functions.Data Integrity: Enter and categorize bank, credit card, and payroll transactions into appropriate general ledger accounts.
Reconciliations: Perform comprehensive bank and account reconciliations.
A/R & A/P: Manage Accounts Receivable (invoicing and payment application) and Accounts Payable (bill entry and payment processing) on behalf of clients.
Year-End Support: Assist in year-end 1099 reporting and financial preparation for external tax preparers.
Special Projects: Carry out other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
Experience: 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience is required. Experience working with Non-Profit Organizations (NPO) is a significant plus.
Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Quick Books Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel
.Soft Skills: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
