The Staff Accountant – Leases & Fixed Assets is responsible for the accurate accounting, tracking, and reporting of the Company’s lease portfolio and fixed assets in Net Suite
, in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role owns day‑to‑day lease accounting under ASC 842
, fixed asset accounting, and related reconciliations, ensuring records are complete, accurate, and audit‑ready.

• Maintain all operating and finance lease records in Net Suite
  , including real estate, vehicles, and equipment
• Perform monthly lease accounting under ASC 842
  , including:
  • Right‑of‑use (ROU) assets
  • Lease liabilities
  • Amortization and interest expense
• Set up new leases, modifications, renewals, terminations, and remeasurements in Net Suite
• Reconcile lease subledger activity to the general ledger monthly
• Maintain complete lease documentation and audit support
• Coordinate with Operations, Real Estate, and Procurement to ensure lease population completeness

• Maintain the fixed asset subledger in Net Suite
• Record capital asset additions, transfers, disposals, and retirements
• Calculate and post monthly depreciation in accordance with Company policy and GAAP
• Review capital vs. expense classifications
• Perform monthly fixed asset reconciliations to the general ledger
• Support annual physical inventory and asset verification processes
• Maintain fixed asset schedules for audit and tax support
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to leases and fixed assets
• Support timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end close
• Assist with financial statement disclosures related to leases and fixed assets
• Support external auditors with schedules, reconciliations, and source documentation

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Identify and implement process improvements within Net Suite to enhance accuracy and close efficiency
• Assist with system enhancements, reporting improvements, and documentation standardization

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2–4 years of accounting experience with direct Net Suite usage (required)
• Hands‑on experience with Net Suite fixed assets and lease accounting modules
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  , including ASC 842
• Experience with account reconciliations and month‑end close
• Strong Excel skills (reconciliations, schedules, analysis)
• High attention to detail and documentation discipline

• Experience in asset‑intensive environments (construction, manufacturing, distribution)
• Experience supporting audits or SOX/internal controls
• Ownership mentality and accountability
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Clear, professional communication
• Ability to meet close deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Sound accounting judgment and attention to compliance
