Job Description & How to Apply Below

Grayson & Associates, P.C. is a newly founded CPA firm launched in May 2026 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We serve clients across a variety of industries, with a particular focus on construction contractors and not-for-profit organizations, along with real estate, and manufacturing clients. As a growing firm, we are building a team of high-quality professionals and offer a genuine path to leadership, and ultimately partnership, for the right people.

We are selectively growing an A+ client base and are looking to add one or two strong hires as we build out our audit and tax practices.

This is a full-time, hybrid role for an Audit Senior, based in our Murfreesboro office (require at least 2-3 days per week in-office). We utilize Case Ware Working Papers and PPC methodology for our audit, review, and compilation engagements. This role is well suited to someone looking to take on in-charge responsibility on engagements and grow toward a Manager role, and eventually partnership, as our A&A practice expands.

The ability to prepare tax returns is a plus, but not required for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as in-charge senior on audit, review, and compilation engagements for clients in construction, not-for-profit, and other industries.
  • Prepare and review work papers using Case Ware Working Papers and PPC methodology.
  • Supervise and review the work of audit staff and associates in the field.
  • Assist in evaluating internal controls and identifying areas of audit risk.
  • Help draft GAAP-basis financial statements and disclosures.
  • Communicate with clients during fieldwork to obtain information and resolve open items.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed (a plus, not required).
Requirements:
  • CPA license, or actively pursuing CPA licensure (CPA-eligible / sitting for the exam).
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 2-4 years of audit experience in public accounting.
  • Working knowledge of auditing standards and regulations.
  • Experience with Case Ware Working Papers and PPC or similar methodology is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience.
  • Firm-paid health, vision, and dental insurance.
  • A genuine path to advancement, including partnership potential, at a growing firm.
  • The opportunity to help shape the culture, systems, and client base of a new firm from the ground up.
  • Most Friday's off in Summer months.
