Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Market Development Manager – Drilling is responsible for developing our company Oil and Gas drilling market segment within the Oil & Gas industry. The candidate will have single point accountability to identify product opportunities, commercialize new products, conduct market analysis, and position the company within the Oil and Gas industry. The Market Development Manager – Drilling will: be accountable for meeting the sales targets within the drilling market segment, demonstrate a strategic selling approach by identifying key decision makers for various product areas, while successfully positioning and communicating a value proposition.
Develop and enhance portfolio of accounts through relationship management of key contacts within customers’ organization.
- Be accountable for the product portfolio within the drilling segment including developing market requirements, positioning of products, and product contracts.
- Create and sponsor new product initiatives by empowering application engineers, corporate research and manufacturing plant engineers to execute product development and testing efforts.
- Commercialize new products through go-to-market plans.
- Minimum years of experience: 8+.

- Demonstrated success in business development and sales to the oil & gas industry.
- Demonstrated ability in identifying and supporting the development and delivery of new products.
- Demonstrated success working in a collaborative environment requiring intimate relationship development.
- Experience developing and implementing a pricing strategy.
- Experience in negotiating contract terms such as T&Cs, NDAs, Development Agreements, Supply Agreements.
- Commercial competence:
Experience leading several aspects of market analysis and strong sales portfolio; implementing product launch efforts in partnership with key customers. - Strategic orientation:
Experience developing market and sales strategies and plans that incorporate competitive issues, industry trends and external factors; integrating market trends into coherent product vision and initiatives. - Leadership:
Ability to collaborate, influence customers and coworkers toward a new vision. - Collaboration and influencing:
Ability to work as part of a global business within a matrix organization, prioritize business objectives, be a team player with an open management style, seek input and buy‑in from key people across the organization. - Flexibility:
Demonstrated ability to work in a rapidly changing environment requiring consistent reviews and modifications to execution strategies. - Self‑directed:
Ability to drive daily work independently, distinguishing between items that need escalation and those that can be handled autonomously. - Extensive knowledge of O&G drilling operations.
