Position Summary:The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role coordinates field operations, manages subcontractors and suppliers, enforces quality standards, and maintains strong communication between the field and the office. The Superintendent is the company’s on-site representative and plays a critical role in maintaining client satisfaction and ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and professionalism on every jobsite.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead daily on-site operations, including scheduling, supervision, and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety plans.
- Maintain and update the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Conduct daily and weekly site meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication among all parties.
- Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and identify potential conflicts or issues.
- Monitor quality control and ensure construction adheres to plans, specifications, and company standards.
- Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure required documentation is completed and submitted.
- Manage jobsite logistics, including site layout, deliveries, equipment, and material handling.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, including manpower tracking, equipment logs, deliveries, and jobsite photos.
- Foster and maintain professional relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to identify potential schedule or cost impacts and assist in resolving them proactively.
- This position will occasionally require traveling out of state.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with clean MVR is required.
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with commercial construction means and methods.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- Basic hand and power tools experience required.
- Experience with layout and field coordination.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience working on fast-paced commercial projects.
