Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing (SRP)
- Perform patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and documenting findings
- Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive care
- Partner with the doctor to diagnose and co-treatment plan for optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize Dentrix for patient documentation, scheduling, and charting
- Assist with iTero scans and support digital dentistry workflows
- Maintain infection control standards in compliance with CDC and OSHA guidelines
- Build strong patient relationships to ensure a positive and comfortable experience
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth daily flow and excellent patient care
- Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Tennessee
- 2–3 years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist preferred
- Experience with Dentrix, iTero, and Microsoft Office required
- Strong clinical skills in preventive and periodontal treatment
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to patient care
- Current dental hygienist license
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
