Job Description:
The Adjunct Instructor may be assigned to prepare and deliver lecture(s) and/or facilitate lab(s) and/or support clinical education.
- Licensed D.O., M.D., PhD, or other doctoral degree
- Board Certification in specialty area for physicians
- Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large
- Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students
- Precept and example a general atmosphere within LMU-DCOM of respect for knowledge, thought, and inquiry
- Deliver lectures utilizing the latest body of knowledge and evidence
- Prepare examination questions as requested
- Meet with course directors as needed and deliver lecture(s) according to published schedule
- Commit to working in a professional multicultural environment that fosters diversity
- Serve as an example to learners and colleagues of appropriate professional behavior
- Demonstrate and supervise students during clinical educational activities utilizing standardized patients and/or volunteer patients
- Supervise students during authorized and approved patient care events including health fairs, sports physicals, or community outreach programs
