This is a full-time, on-site Teacher role located in Murfreesboro, TN. The Teacher will plan and deliver standards-based instruction, create daily lesson plans, and use a variety of teaching methods to support diverse learners. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, providing timely feedback, maintaining accurate records, and communicating regularly with families and caregivers. The Teacher will collaborate with colleagues and support staff, participate in professional learning, and contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote academic achievement and student well-being.
Additional duties may include supervising students, supporting extracurricular activities, and adhering to district policies and state education guidelines.
- Demonstrated instructional skills in planning, delivering, and differentiating standards-based lessons to meet diverse student needs.
- Strong classroom management, student engagement, and positive behavior support skills to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, colleagues, and school leadership.
- Proficiency in using educational technology, learning management systems, and data tools to support teaching and track student progress.
- Ability to use assessment data and evidence-based practices to inform instruction and support continuous improvement.
- Valid Tennessee teaching license (or eligibility for licensure) in the appropriate content area/grade level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced degree in Education or a specialized subject area is a plus.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Experience in K–12 public schools or student teaching in a comparable setting is preferred.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the broader school community.
