Residential Energy Auditor – CLEAResult
Job OverviewWe are seeking a Residential Energy Auditor to represent the company on‑site at residential customers, installing energy efficient equipment and conducting efficiency audits and verifications within a defined territory.
Responsibilities- Act as local on‑site program and company representative to residential customers and contractors.
- Install energy efficient equipment and conduct pre‑ and post‑installation verifications.
- Conduct energy efficiency (re) audits, gather technical data and verify that installations achieve required program savings.
- Build relationships with residential customers and contractors, ensuring that installations meet standards and are on time.
- Inform, educate, and train contractors on the program and provide individualized support to property owners.
- Document customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements and provide status updates to program staff.
- Provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical problems and recommend solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate’s degree or higher in a related field preferred. - Experience in residential energy conservation, preferably in the Weatherization Assistance Program, residential construction, or a related field.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, reporting, sales, writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Physical ability to lift 35lb (35lbs) and inspect tight areas, attics, crawl spaces, hatch doors, etc.; use of a tablet and mobile devices for audits and communication.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; 21years of age or older.
- Must pass a satisfactory background check and driving record check.
- BPI, QCI, or HERS Certification.
- Bilingual Spanish.
Targeted hourly rate: $21–$23
USD. Actual compensation is based on internal equity, market data, and candidate qualifications.
