.
This role requires 2-5 years of experience, preferably in a consulting engineering environment in water and wastewater design; specifically, utility design work including pipe, treatment plant, tank and pump station design. This position requires regular client interaction, and prior experience working with municipal clients is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports.
Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required;
Water
CAD, Innovyze, or similar hydraulic system modeling software is preferred.
- Collaborate on planning, design, construction administration and permitting of infrastructure improvements.
- Engage with clients; conduct presentations and prepare written reports.
- Visit construction sites, attend project meetings, and meet with clients as needed.
- Apply knowledge of hydraulic analysis and design to water/wastewater projects.
- Support the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project goals.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems Engineering. Professional Engineering registration strongly preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years' experience working with municipal water/wastewater clients.
Skills- Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Progressive experience in planning, design, construction administration and permitting of infrastructure improvements
- Ability to work a regular schedule of 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM Mon–Thu and 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM Fri; occasional evening and weekend work
- Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks
- Highly client service oriented, self-starter, and team player
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to visit construction sites, attend project meetings and meet clients
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, utility construction materials and water/wastewater treatment technologies
- Strong understanding of hydraulic analysis and design
- Excellent time management skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Basic skills using financial reporting tools to evaluate project performance
