Water Wastewater Civil Engineer

Water/Wastewater in Murfreesboro, TN
.

This role requires 5+ years of experience, preferably in a consulting engineering environment in water and wastewater design, specifically utility design work including pipe, treatment plant, tank and pump station design. Regular client interaction is required. Prior experience working with municipal clients is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports.

Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D is required;
Water

CAD, Innovyze or similar hydraulic system modeling software is preferred.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems Engineering. Professional Engineering registration strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years with municipal water/wastewater clients.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; ability to plan, design, perform construction administration and permitting of infrastructure improvements; ability to visit construction sites, attend project meetings and meet clients; knowledge of construction methods, utility construction materials and water/wastewater treatment technologies; understanding of hydraulic analysis and design; excellent time management; intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word; basic skills using financial reporting tools to evaluate project performance;

    strong leadership.
Responsibilities
  • Design and project management for water/wastewater utilities (pipe, treatment facilities, tanks, pumps) with regular client interaction and reporting.
  • Prepare written reports and deliver client presentations; communicate with municipal clients.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D; hydraulic modeling software such as Water

    CAD/Innovyze.
  • Visit construction sites, attend project meetings, and meet clients; lead or support project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with permitting and construction administration requirements.
