Roadway Design Engineer

We are a multidisciplinary civil engineering firm providing services in land development, transportation engineering, surveying, and site design. Our team works on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments, with a strong focus on roadway design, drainage, and utility systems.

• Design and develop roadway geometry, alignments, profiles, and cross sections for land development and infrastructure projects
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and technical documents including plan/profile sheets and roadway details
• Perform grading, drainage, and stormwater design in support of roadway and site development projects
• Coordinate roadway design with utilities, drainage systems, and overall site layout
• Conduct quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and support project budgeting efforts
• Assist with permitting, regulatory approvals, and agency coordination
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including survey, planning, and landscape architecture
• Support QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with applicable design standards and regulations
• Participate in field visits, inspections, and construction support as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in roadway or site civil design (varies by level)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required); experience with transportation design tools preferred
• Knowledge of roadway design standards, grading, drainage, and stormwater systems
• Strong understanding of permitting processes and construction documentation
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• EIT required or ability to obtain; PE preferred for senior-level roles
• Strong organizational and communication skills
