** Join Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN as a Mechanical Design Engineer and play a key role in shaping innovative, high-performance electromechanical solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of design, technology, and real-world application, where your ideas directly contribute to reliable energy  this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage advanced 2D and 3D CAD tools, and support both new product development and ongoing product improvements.

** How you'll make an impact
*** Perform engineering tasks including analysis, design, development, testing, and installation support
* Interpret and work from drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials
* Develop 2D and 3D CAD models for prototypes, production, and retrofit builds
* Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet application requirements
* Investigate technical issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
* Support customer orders, product improvements, and field troubleshooting activities
* Assist in preparing technical documentation, specifications, and approvals
* Contribute to improving product design, performance, and reliability
* Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.###
** Your background
*** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field
* 2+ years of relevant engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience with 3D CAD tools (e.g., Creo/Pro-E or similar) preferred
* Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill) is a plus
* Exposure to electromechanical product design is desirable
* Knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and best practices
