AESC is looking to add a Sr. Field Electric Engineer - GID to our team in Murfreesboro, TN.
Position type: Full‑Time, On‑site
About the RoleAs a Sr. Field Electric Engineer within the Global Industrial Development (GID) team, you will design and optimize electrical systems for high‑performance battery manufacturing facilities. Your work will involve ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards while driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in design.
Key Responsibilities- Lead development of detailed electrical system designs, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and other relevant codes.
- Prepare and review QA/QC deliverables at 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC milestones.
- Integrate energy‑efficient and sustainable practices into design solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, controls, etc.) to produce fully integrated, optimized systems.
- Provide regular progress reports and communicate design solutions, issues, and recommendations to cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in electrical design for buildings or industrial projects.
- Experience with battery manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, or petrochemical plant design is a plus.
- In‑depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, etc.).
- Proficiency in electrical design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, Easy Power).
- Strong project management, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate IATF
16949, VDA 6.3, ISO
14001 standards (training provided). - Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
- Experience in battery manufacturing, semiconductor, or petrochemical industries.
- Familiarity with energy‑efficient practices in industrial electrical system design.
- Certifications in energy management or manufacturing electrical engineering specialties.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor. It may involve temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. Employees must perform all essential functions on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers, and suppliers.
