Job Overview

Triso-X is looking for a forward‑thinking Engineering Manager to lead and manage the engineering team in the planning, execution and delivery of large‑scale technical projects and products while ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency and alignment with organizational objectives. The focus is on supporting our fuel fabrication plant in Oak Ridge, TN.

• Manage the execution of the engineering design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program/project requirements.
• Manage utilization of engineering resources across multiple projects and ensure qualified engineers are performing assigned work.
• Manage design cycle sprints and provide direction to ensure the convergence of efforts of engineering team members, partners, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of high‑quality engineering work products that are on schedule and within budget as defined by the Project leadership.
• Manage (functional area) engineering staff by ensuring staff are meeting expectations and promoting staff professional development.
• Influence the development of strategy, methodology, and technical tools for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and policy formulation.
• Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, tools, or services.
• Use a high level of judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operations, product management, technology, or engineering.
• Assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
• Offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and construct and provide recommendations.
• Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to create the next generation nuclear reactor and/or nuclear fuel related technologies.
• Perform work in accordance with design control procedures, ensuring thorough documentation of work, facilitation of internal and external design reviews, and control of product design configuration data.
• Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
• Typically, ten plus years of professional experience in project engineering after completion of undergraduate study.
• Graduate degrees typically count as two plus years of experience.
• Experience estimating time and resources needed to execute engineering activities.
• Requires specialized knowledge within the function of project engineering management.

Office: 151 Lafayette Drive, Suite 300, Oak Ridge, TN. 5 days in office, 10% potential travel.

Hours:

8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday‑Friday.

Salary range: $150,000 – $180,000 per year, based on qualifications.
