Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Environmental Compliance & Protection, Occupational Health & Safety
Our HSE Representative is responsible to lead the site to the goal of “zero” injuries and the implementation of the safety behavior program, employee engagement, continuous improvement, and management of the Environmental Management System. You will provide support to the operations facility with regards to planning, coordinating, promoting, maintaining, and implementation of all environmental, occupational health, and occupational safety activities to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as customer requirements.
- Provide technical expertise to investigate process failures that lead to workplace accidents and environmental impacts. Includes investigations, monitoring of accidents and incidents to manage the safety and health of the workforce as well as contain costs.
- Develop and implement environmental compliance programs related to hazardous waste, air permits, storm water, wastewater, emergency response plans, including maintaining the ISO 14001 Environment Management System and certifications.
- Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain Worker’s Compensation program through filing of reports, adherence of return-to-work programs, light duty programs, and other cost containment initiatives.
- Development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety training programs and ensure technical training is executed for facility personnel.
- Participate in product and process reviews to minimize safety and occupational health hazardous
- Manages all aspects of OSHA standards and compliance including annual hearing conservation program, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Lock-Out/Tag-Out, and other programs as required.
- Analyze and report the progress of the Company’s environmental goals and targets and required Company reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or other related disciplines from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Knowledge of and practical experience in OSHA, EPA, ISO certification, and other compliance requirements.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Certification is desirable but not required.
