Since 1969, Lakeside has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addiction disease services in the Memphis and Mid‑South region. The 365‑bed facility is one of the largest free‑standing psychiatric hospitals in the United States. We are located on a serene 37‑acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors.
Lakeside’s comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illness, and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing and supervising the nutritional needs of patients, providing age‑and developmentally appropriate diet planning and education, and ensuring quality nutritional care is provided to all patients in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health and the American Dietetics Association.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition;
Master’s degree preferred. - Experience: Prefer one year of clinical dietitian experience in a health care environment. Prior work with a mental health population strongly desired.
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed by the Tennessee Department of Health as a Registered Dietitian.
- Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of age‑appropriate nutritional assessments and screenings, nutritional counseling and education, dietary planning and food and drug interactions.
