Position: IT Clinical Informatics Analyst
The IT Clinical Informatics Analyst is an enterprise-wide resource responsible for supporting and improving the use of the Matrix Care electronic health record across NHC. The role has a strong clinical focus, but works with every department that uses, supports, or depends on Matrix Care, including operational, financial, compliance, reporting, training, and technology functions.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a clinical and functional subject matter expert for Matrix Care and the workflows it supports.
- Serve as a Matrix Care liaison across clinical, operational, financial, compliance, reporting, training, and IT departments.
- Support Matrix Care configuration, enhancements, upgrades, forms, assessments, and reports.
- Develop requirements and test scripts; coordinate testing before changes are released.
- Support implementations, upgrades, go-lives, training, and post-go-live activities.
- Investigate escalated clinical application issues and coordinate with internal teams and Matrix Care through resolution.
- Follow NHC policies related to HIPAA, privacy, security, system access, and protected health information.
- Promote consistent clinical documentation and standardized Matrix Care workflows across NHC locations.
- Assist with clinical reporting and data quality by helping review and validate Matrix Care information.
- Participate in EHR governance, prioritization, change control, and release planning.
- Perform other duties related to Matrix Care and enterprise clinical systems as assigned.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is required.
- Hands-on Matrix Care EHR experience in a clinical, informatics, training, support, or operational role is required.
- Knowledge of nursing documentation, medication and treatment workflows, care planning, and assessments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with clinical, operational, vendor, and IT teams.
- Experience supporting Matrix Care in skilled nursing, long-term care, senior care, or a multi-facility healthcare organization is preferred.
Periodic travel to locations may be required for implementations, training, or workflow reviews.
