Annual Salary Range: $45,492 - $48,822 Our Commitment

As a Health Educator I with the Rutherford County Government Health Department, you’ll help strengthen community well-being through clear, practical Government health messaging. This entry-level role is designed to help you launch your career, learn from experienced public Health professionals, and build real-world Education skills.
Key responsibilities include:- Support planning and delivery of Health Education activities for community groups
- Share accurate prevention and wellness information using approachable, audience-friendly materials
- Help coordinate outreach events, track participation, and maintain program documentation
- Collaborate with clinic and community partners to align Education efforts with local needs
- Bachelor’s degree in health education, public health, or a related field
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking with diverse audiences
- Organized, dependable, and able to learn new tools and processes quickly
