Description
Job SummaryThe Contract Recruiter will support industrial manufacturing growth by sourcing, recruiting, and screening candidates for plant positions at our yogurt manufacturing facilities in Murfreesboro, TN and Reed City, MI. Partnering closely with local plant HR teams and site leadership, this role manages full-cycle recruitment activities to build talent pipelines and fill high-volume hourly and skilled manufacturing positions.
This temporary, variable-hour role focuses exclusively on manufacturing talent acquisition, making it ideal for an experienced industrial recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced plant environment.
KeyDuties & Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for open plant positions across manufacturing, production, quality, maintenance, and plant operations in Murfreesboro, TN and Reed City, MI.
- Partner directly with local plant HR teams and site hiring managers to understand operational staffing demands and execute tailored sourcing strategies.
- Source active and passive candidates using Indeed, local job boards, community partnerships, and employee referrals.
- Screen and qualify candidates for manufacturing skill fit, shift availability, and operational alignment.
- Coordinate candidate interview schedules with local plant HR and hiring teams, maintaining clear communication throughout the hiring process.
- Build and maintain active candidate pipelines to support continuous production staffing needs and rapid plant expansion.
- Maintain accurate records, applicant status, and disposition data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Provide regular pipeline updates and recruitment metrics to plant leadership and central Talent Acquisition.
- This is a variable-hour contract position supporting the HR team based on business needs.
- The position will be onsite, located in Murfreesboro, TN
- Computer, phone, and reliable internet access are required to perform the responsibilities of this role.

Education
- Preferred university degree.
Experience
- 3+ years of high volume recruiting experience is required.
- A a strong focus on manufacturing or plant environments is favored.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing candidates through Indeed, and other recruiting platforms.
- Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously across a variety of functions and levels.
- Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
