Sr. Solutions Architect (SLG), State and Local Government - Southeast Region

This role is focused on helping State and Local Government customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions. The Solutions Architect will own technical engagements, define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and serve as a subject matter expert on AWS technologies and security.
Key Responsibilities- In partnership with the Sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
- Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
- Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
- Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers (e.g., Dev Days or Immersion Days).
- Capture and share best‑practice knowledge among the AWS Solutions Architect community.
- Contribute to AWS customer‑facing publications such as white papers.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, Service Teams and Support.
- 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
