Principal Function
The Facility Manager is responsible for the management of services and processes that support the ministries of the church. He ensures that the ministries have the most suitable working environment for their people and activities.
Specific Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the church buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure that all church property is kept serviced and in good repair.
- Get bids for jobs and schedule companies to do needed repair work.
- Keep the building and grounds safe for our members and guests at all times.
- Respond appropriately to facility emergencies as they arise.
- Coordinate and supervise the set‑up and take‑down of equipment and furniture needed for church events.
- Set environmental and security controls to provide comfort and access as needed.
- Investigate complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action.
- Receive and store deliveries to the church.
- Ensure that all contracted work is done safely, at a fair price, with excellence, and in a timely manner.
- Order, store, and control the use of all consumable goods related to the upkeep and operation of the facilities.
- Ensure dangerous chemicals/products are handled and stored in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Keep all tools and equipment in excellent running condition and store them in safe and secure locations.
- Secure bids and order new equipment as needed.
- Plan and submit an annual budget for the upkeep and operation of the facilities and make sure expenses are appropriate, documented, and within budget.
- Interview, screen, and hire custodians, as needed, within budget constraints.
- Provide training so they can perform their work safely and with excellence.
- Inform them of policies and procedures.
- Schedule their work shifts.
- Inspect their work to ensure it meets established standards.
- Recommend terminations, if appropriate.
- A born‑again believer in Jesus Christ.
- Demonstrates a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Adheres to the Belle Aire Baptist Church Articles of Faith.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in routine facilities maintenance.

Full‑time, salaried, exempt

Assistant Facilities Manager, Custodians
Reports To:
Minister of Administration
