Overview
Press / Print Operating Technician – responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating press equipment to produce high‑quality printed materials according to job specifications. The position is hands‑on, mechanically oriented, and requires a detail‑focused individual comfortable in a fast‑paced production environment.
ShiftMonday – Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:30am
Responsibilities- Carry out detailed instructions from job orders accurately and precisely.
- Identify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correct them.
- Set up and adjust press equipment for job runs to meet specifications.
- Monitor product quality during job runs and check details against specifications.
- Take action to correct quality issues or production concerns as needed.
- Monitor equipment during job runs and remain alert to mechanical problems.
- Refer mechanical issues to maintenance as needed.
- Initiate the start‑up and running of jobs according to the production schedule.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
- Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.
- Complete required logs and paperwork accurately.
- Keep work area clean and organized to support efficiency and shift changeovers.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Mechanical and technical skills or aptitude.
- Basic math skills, including reading a ruler and calculating label dimensions for stock optimization.
- Ability to operate equipment and meet production and quality standards.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders.
- Ability to communicate professionally.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information so others understand.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
- Frequent movement inside the facility.
- Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying).
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Experience in a production‑related environment.
