Production Associate performs essential tasks to assemble components and products, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to production schedules. This role supports the organization’s goals by maintaining efficient assembly processes and contributing to the delivery of reliable products to customers. This position is required to contribute to a positive work environment focused on Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.
Key Accountability areas:- Assembles components and products (75%):
Following detailed blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate and timely completion of manufacturing tasks. - Operates hand tools and machinery (10%):
Using equipment such as hand tools, drills, and presses to assemble parts, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. - Inspects assembled products (5%):
Conducting visual and functional checks to verify quality and identify defects, reporting issues to the Team Leader for resolution. - Maintains inventory accuracy (5%):
Tracking and recording material usage based on the Bill of Material as needed. - Collaborates with team members (5%):
Participating in daily production meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and process improvements, fostering effective communication within the production department. - Ensure compliance with safety standards (100%):
Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and company protocols, conduct quality checks to verify weld integrity.
- Education :
High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience : 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly work preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
- General knowledge of assembly processes and manufacturing techniques.
- Basic skills in using hand tools and operating machinery safely.
- Ability to read a tape measure in inches, fractions, and millimeters.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to help foster and manage change to support continuous improvement.
