Production Operator (Unwrap) / 3rd Shift
Job SummaryReports directly to the department Supervisor and is responsible for operating all unwrapper machines to maintain established quality standards and production schedules in the manufacture of all required hose.
This is a 3rd Shift position.
What You'll Be Doing- Maintain a safe work environment and use proper safety devices as provided. Abide by and actively promote all facility safety guidelines and quality procedures.
- Ensure all material available for next run per the production schedule prior to starting set-up of machine.
- Load material onto Unwrapper per spec sheets and standard operating instructions.
- Run unwrapper machines per spec sheet and operating instructions, completing required quality checks, operating and quality paperwork, travelers, etc as required.
- Aid in development and continuous improvement of Standardized Work documentation on an on-going basis.
- Maintain a channel of communication between management and departmental personnel on shift cross‑over.
- Monitor productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained to support the plant mission statement.
- Maintain 5‑S Standards in work area.
- Actively participate in plant improvement projects and teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must support and work in a team environment
- Previous production or manufacturing experience, manufacturing/machine operation experience is preferred
- Mechanical or machinist experience is preferred
Physical Effort
Almost continuously standing/walking. Sometimes required to stoop, climb, or lift/carry equipment or material of moderate weight. Occasionally may perform work in confined spaces and/or awkward positions. Must meet the qualifications of a heavy lifter (up to 50lbs on a frequent basis, heavier on occasion).
Physical Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions may produce discomfort on occasion, e.g. dust, moderate noise.
Sensory Attention
Regular need to give close attention, hearing, seeing, and/or touching, to surroundings.
Mental Stress
Continuous pressure of strong demand for results, multiple demands made simultaneously for important decisions/actions, possible exposure to criticism, and frequent occurrence of unpleasant situations and/or contacts. Moderate disruption of family/social life.
