$28,000 per year

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamp parts together along layout marks.
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repair broken or cracked metal objects, fill holes, and build up metal parts.
• Lay out, position, and tack‑weld work pieces.
• Scarface or groove weld prior to applying filler metal.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter.
• Clean or degrease parts.
• Perform MIG welding.
• Read AWS blueprints.
• Perform physical aspects of the job, including climbing step ladders, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and standing for long periods.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience or training.
• Must be able to work a 4‑on, 4‑off schedule.
• Ability to read AWS blueprints and perform health‑and‑safety compliance.

• Requires standing for extended periods of time.
• Must wear required PPE (including PAPR).
• Must lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

• Day shift opportunities (second shift employees receive a $1.50 per hour premium when applicable).
  4‑on 4‑off schedule; off half of the weekends during the year.
