What You’ll Do- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat foot and ankle conditions for nursing home residents in assigned facilities.
- Provide routine and medically necessary podiatric care with professionalism, patience, and attention to individual resident needs.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans based on patient presentation, history, and clinical findings.
- Identify changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to appropriate facility staff or care team members.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation for each patient encounter.
- Coordinate with the internal scheduling team to support efficient routing, facility visits, and patient care coverage.
- Represent Excel Health Group professionally when interacting with residents, families, facility staff, and care partners.
- Stay current with podiatric medicine best practices, compliance expectations, and continuing education requirements.
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and valid state license to practice podiatry.
- Valid malpractice coverage or ability to obtain coverage.
- Ability and willingness to travel statewide to assigned nursing home locations.
- Strong clinical judgment and comfort working independently in a mobile healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate respectfully with patients, facility staff, and internal team members.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage documentation, scheduling expectations, and travel responsibilities.
