Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”
The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision and mission to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
- Provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using the nursing model “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”
- Advocates for patients, families, and caregivers and represents organizational values.
- Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes effective pain management, including reassessment after intervention.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
- Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipates needs, and resolves them proactively.
- Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about their medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures.
- Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
- Educates about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as a healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
- Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management.
- At least 1+ year of ER experience (required).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Instructor certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine coverage.
