OVERVIEW
Murfreesboro is a high performing, multi-platform non-union facility with over 300 employees. This site supports the Midwest Yogurt business across over 10 production lines. The Quality Systems Coordinator will support Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory work at this facility.
KEYACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide Food Safety & Quality support through execution of various programs and maintenance of records in areas of regulatory compliance, product quality, food safety, sanitation, ingredients, and defect handling
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Sanitation and Engineering to coordinate non-conforming raw material and finished product dispositions
- Use Quality Engineering principles to collect, analyze, and interpret in-engine and analytical data to make quality evaluations and recommend actions for raw material and product dispositions
- Provide tactical support to the Food Safety and Quality organization in system updating, documents management, and record-keeping
- 1+ years of quality, food safety or related experience
- Ability to influence constructive, positive changes within a plant environment
- Clear, concise, well-directed communication and the ability to employ multiple communication styles to execute a given task
- Ability to flex work schedule when required to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including occasional early/late work hours
- General understanding of product quality, sensory, sanitation and food safety
- Ability to understand the tools of problem solving and decision making
- Demonstrated initiative and bias for action
- Ability to be comfortable with ambiguity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)
- 3+ years of quality, food safety or related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Food Science
