IMI is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform testing on concrete, aggregates, and construction materials to ensure our products consistently meet quality standards. As a Quality Control Technician, you'll help ensure our concrete products consistently meet company and industry quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform quality control testing on concrete and raw materials
- Collect and test aggregate, cement, and other production materials
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately
- Assist with troubleshooting concrete performance and quality concerns
- Maintain organized testing records and documentation
- Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and inspection-ready
- Work closely with the Quality Control Manager to maintain company quality standards
- Follow ASTM, company, and industry testing procedures
- Maintain required certifications through training, testing, and continuing education
- Promote a safe work environment by following OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Assist with additional quality and testing projects as needed
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform calculations involving percentages and variables
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
Commitment to workplace safety - Must reside within approximately 45 minutes of Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Concrete Quality Control
- Aggregate Testing
- Laboratory Testing
- Field Testing
- ASTM Testing Procedures
- OSHA Safety Practices
Concrete industry experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
