We are hiring immediately for a full‑time and part‑time COOK position at Tennova North Medical Center, 7565 Dannaher Drive, Powell, TN 37849. Online applications only.

Schedule:

5:30 am – 2:00 pm, days may vary including weekends.

Pay Range: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.

• Prepares high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and temperature controls, ensuring food is attractive and tasty. Tastes prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and records work performed.
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen, refrigerators and storerooms, and discards excess food in accordance with safe food‑handling procedures.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, reporting, ordering and receiving of food and supplies.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attends in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures following HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Abides by specific glove, utensil, footwear and lifting requirements.

• Previous cooking experience required, preferably in a hospital or nursing home.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.
